Devil’s Corner Pinot Noir 2025 is a boldly perfumed, fruit-driven cool-climate Pinot Noir from the East Coast of Tasmania — born where the vines meet the sea on one of Australia’s most unforgiving and distinctive stretches of coastline. Named after a rugged patch in nearby waters, Devil’s Corner wines bear the mark of their home: adventurous, considered, and shaped by the elements rather than fighting against them. Brightly coloured with youthful purple tones; spicy black cherry, dark fruits, and hints of raspberry on the nose; a juicy, sweet-fruit middle palate with soft, ripe tannins and fresh acidity. Drink now or cellar confidently for up to three years.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Brightly coloured with youthful purple tones — the hallmark of a fruit-driven cool-climate Tasmanian Pinot Noir from the East Coast, where the vines meet the sea and the elements shape every vintage.

Aroma

Strongly perfumed and expressive — spicy black cherry leads with intensity and vibrancy, complemented by dark fruits and hints of raspberry that add complexity and freshness. A boldly aromatic cool-climate Pinot Noir of genuine character and appeal.

Palate

Juicy and generous — a sweet-fruit middle palate of real depth and vibrancy, with soft, ripe tannins and fresh acidity providing structure and balance. A fruit-driven, drink-now style with the generous flavours and cool-climate freshness that define Tasmanian Pinot Noir at its most approachable and enjoyable.

Pairs With

A versatile food wine — Devil’s Corner Pinot Noir 2025 pairs beautifully with tender meats, Mediterranean pastas, spicy vegetarian pizza, roast duck, salmon, mushroom dishes, and soft cheeses. The juicy fruit, soft tannins, and fresh acidity make it equally compelling with a wide range of cuisines. Serve at 14–16°C.

Who Should Drink This?

Devil’s Corner Pinot Noir 2025 is for lovers of cool-climate Australian Pinot Noir who want the vibrant fruit character, fresh acidity, and approachable style of Tasmanian Pinot at an accessible price point. It’s a natural choice for anyone discovering the distinctive character of East Coast Tasmanian wine — and a reliable, crowd-pleasing Pinot for everyday drinking and casual entertaining.

Why Is Tasmanian Pinot Noir Special?

Tasmania’s cool maritime climate — shaped by the Roaring Forties and the cold Southern Ocean — creates the ideal conditions for Pinot Noir: long, cool growing seasons that allow the fruit to develop slowly, building the aromatic complexity, fresh acidity, and fine tannin structure that define great Pinot Noir. The East Coast of Tasmania, where Devil’s Corner grows its grapes where the vines meet the sea, is one of Australia’s most distinctive and celebrated wine regions — producing Pinot Noir of genuine character and cool-climate elegance.

Is It Worth Cellaring?

Devil’s Corner Pinot Noir 2025 is made as a fruit-driven drink-now style — generous, vibrant, and immediately enjoyable. It can also be cellared confidently for up to three years, allowing the fruit to integrate and the tannins to soften further. Best enjoyed in its youth to appreciate the bright, spicy black cherry and raspberry character at its most vibrant.

Winemaking Notes

Named after a rugged patch in nearby waters, our approach to wine is similar to that of the intrepid sailors who dared to cross it: bold yet humble. Fearless yet considered. Born and bred on the East Coast of Tasmania, out here we hold a special kind of adventurous spirit… never fighting against the elements, but rather, knowing when to lean into them. It's here – on this unforgiving stretch of coastline – that something truly special is made. In growing our grapes where the vines meet the sea, each Devil's Corner Estate wine bears the mark of our home. Fruit was de-stemmed and fermented on skins in static fermenters using an air maceration technique that allows gentle extraction of colour and tannins, without overpowering the wine.

Vintage Conditions

The 2024 vintage in Tasmania delivered exceptional cool-climate conditions ideal for Pinot Noir production. The growing season was characterised by moderate temperatures and consistent maritime influence from the nearby ocean, allowing the fruit to develop concentrated flavours whilst maintaining the bright natural acidity essential to premium Tasmanian Pinot Noir. The extended ripening period enabled optimal phenolic development, resulting in wines with intense aromatics, vibrant fruit character, and elegant tannin structure. These favourable vintage conditions have produced a Pinot Noir of remarkable balance and ageing potential.
