The 2012 wine year was complicated with winter and spring frosts, hail and cryptogamic diseases, which had an impact on the yield, which was rather moderate. The dry, sunny summer allowed the grapes to ripen to perfection allowing for an exceptional harvest.

The 2012 Brut Millesime is made using 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir. The chardonnay fruit was sourced from the Côte des Blancs (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Cramant, Chouilly) regions, and the Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims (Bouzy, Ay, Verzy, Mailly, Rilly-la-Montagne) regions.
