1800 Tequila Reposado — reposado meaning “rested” in Spanish — is a blend of 100% blue agave tequilas rested in both American and French oak for 6–8 months, blended with tequilas that have been aged for one year, and crafted by a Master Distiller who selects only the very best oak woods to deliver the smooth, characteristic taste of the 1800 range. Bright honey in colour, with aromas of agave, herbaceous oak, orange peel, smooth vanilla, and butterscotch, and a slightly sweet palate of buttery oak and mild agave notes with a well-rounded, velvety finish. A place good enough to savour, too good to slam.

Appearance

Bright honey — the warm, inviting colour of a 100% blue agave reposado rested in American and French oak, with the clarity and luminosity of a tequila of genuine quality and care.

Aroma

Agave and herbaceous oak lead an expressive and inviting bouquet, with orange peel, smooth vanilla, and butterscotch adding warmth and complexity — the characteristic 1800 aromatic profile at its most approachable and elegant.

Palate

Slightly sweet and smooth — buttery oak and mild agave notes deliver a palate of genuine balance and refinement, with a well-rounded, velvety finish that speaks of 6–8 months of patient oak resting and the blending expertise of the 1800 Master Distiller.

Serving Suggestions

Neat or on the rocks to appreciate the full reposado character, or in a premium Margarita or Paloma where the vanilla and butterscotch notes add genuine depth. Too good to slam, good enough to savour.

Production Notes

1800 Reposado is crafted from 100% blue agave — harvested and handpicked from the family’s own agave — and rested in both American and French oak for 6–8 months, then blended with tequilas that have been aged for one year. The Master Distiller selects only the very best oak woods to ensure the smooth, characteristic taste that defines the 1800 range. The result is a reposado of genuine complexity and approachability — the bridge between the freshness of a Blanco and the depth of the Añejo.

Producer History

The year 1800 was the first time tequila was aged in oak barrels — the moment when tequila broke with convention and discovered what it could become. 1800 Tequila celebrates that date and that spirit of innovation in every bottle, with a range of 100% blue agave tequilas that honour the tradition whilst pushing it forward. To this day, 1800’s Master Distiller selects only the very best oak woods to ensure the smooth, characterful taste that has made 1800 one of the world’s most respected super premium tequila producers.
