The 2022 Zonzo Estate Scoperta Pinot Grigio has a bouquet of mineral, lemon zest, pear skin, fennel and almond. Lovely aromatics with some restrained savoury notes following the lifted fruit characters. This fresh yet textural Pinot Grigio is dry and elegant with a lovely line of fresh acidity. The barrel fermentation of a small portion provides a subtle savoury contrast to the bright and crunchy citrus profile. Layered into these characters is a chalky minerality working beautifully to add to the freshness of this wine.

Hand Picked. Whole bunch pressed to tank. Chilled and settled for 2 days then racked to tank.

Inoculated with EC1118 and racked to oak. 8% was fermented in new french oak barrels. The balance was fermented at a cool temperature in tank.
