Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz is named after one of seventeen vineyards in the Grant Burge estate network — a wine that carries the full generosity of the Barossa Valley floor in every glass. The Miamba vineyard sits on the rich, red-brown alluvial soils that define the valley at 200–250 metres, where warm days and cool nights produce Shiraz of genuine depth and approachable character. Under Senior Winemaker Craig Stansborough, who has shaped the Grant Burge style since 1993, the Miamba Shiraz delivers exactly what the Barossa does best.

Appearance

Dense dark crimson with a brilliant hue.

Nose

Overflowing with plum and mulberry, lifted by sweeter spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and aniseed. Generous and immediately expressive of the Barossa Valley floor.

Palate

Full-bodied with plenty of fleshy plum, dark berries and dark chocolate, with hints of liquorice on the finish. Soft, approachable tannins and fresh natural acidity keep the palate lively and the wine food-friendly. Ready now, with enough structure to reward a few years in the cellar.

Winemaking

Sourced from the Miamba vineyard, Barossa Valley. Fermented and matured with careful oak integration to preserve the variety’s natural dark fruit character. 14.5% alc. • 750ml. Serve at 16–18°C.
