Winery & Vintage Info

Squealing Pig is a tale about a pig who wanted more from life than just his pig pen. Keen on wine, but not a fan of the boar that you get with it, he began his adventure in Marlborough in New Zealand before spreading his wings to Central Otago, and then over the ditch to Australia and other parts of the world.

Fruit sourced from vineyards near the Awatere River in Marlborough. Soils composed mainly of loose river gravels, giving the wine its distinct minerality. Grapes crushed and destemmed on arrival at the winery. After separating the lees, juice was cold fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts to enhance flavours and aromas. Blended two months before bottling.

Cold fermentation in stainless steel with selected yeasts. Lees separated prior to fermentation. Blended two months before bottling. No oak. Crafted to be drunk young and fresh to preserve vibrant aromatics and liveliness.
