The 2020 Turkey Flat Butchers Block Red is a medium-bodied palate with red and black berries. Layers of spice, dark plum, cassis and berry fruit adorn the palate - pleasantly held together by fine tannins. Smooth & delicious.

"Red and black fruit, spice, charcuterie, and something like dried herbs and lavender throwing in some perfume. It’s medium-bodied, gentle tannin, baked plum and cherry pie, sundried tomato, balanced acidity, some grainy tannin bobbing up on a finish of solid length. A little cooked in flavour profile, perhaps, but a good drink all up. I like it."

The Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro in the Turkey Flat Butchers Block Red 2020 vintage is vinified & aged individually in French oak barrels before the final blending process. Shiraz adds the generous mouthfeel, Grenache the spice and cherry-like sweetness and Mataro the backbone, savoury edge and fragrance. Balance is crucial, each varietal’s contribution is evident, yet nothing competes for your attention.
