"An ecumenical blend of estate-planted (1978–2009) 52/28/14/6% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/malbec/cabernet franc. Selectiv'-machine harvested, 10 days on skins and 19 months in French hogsheads (40% new). The colour and bouquet open up with plenty on show, but it's the full-bodied palate that sweeps all before it, the oak particularly feisty and the black fruits complex and commanding. Drink by 2035."
