The 2021 Villa Puccini Sangiovese Merlot Toscana is crafted using time-honoured traditional vinification methods. Fully ripened grapes are carefully harvested from the estate vineyards and crushed immediately to preserve their character. The must is then transferred to large stainless steel tanks where primary fermentation takes place at a precisely controlled temperature of 27-28°C. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is filtered and matured at a constant temperature in oak casks and small barriques for a minimum of six months before release. The blend comprises 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot.
