In 2020, the Yarra Valley experienced above average rainfall throughout the spring months, providing excellent water reserves for the vines leading into summer. Through January, the Yarra Valley was fortunate in avoiding the impacts of the bushfire events endured elsewhere in the country and cooler conditions through February had a positive effect on ripening. Expect wines full of flavour and fruit intensity with vibrant colour and excellent natural acidity.
Predominantly hand-picked Yarra Valley Chardonnay, harvested February 2020. Whole bunch pressed with free run and pressings portions kept separate. Partial indigenous fermentation in new and seasoned oak, 50% oak matured on lees for approximately 9 months. Barrels lees stirred monthly until winter. No malolactic fermentation to keep it fresh and maintain natural acidity. Drink now or you cellar up to 5 years. Vegan Friendly. Winery Notes
