Innocent Bystander Syrah 2019 (Yarra Valley)

The 2019 vintage in the Yarra Valley saw a warm, relatively early vintage with perfect ripening conditions leading to a supple, savoury fruit-driven Syrah, with the right dose of peppery spice from Innocent Bystander.

Harvested in March 2019, 40% of the fruit was hand-picked from both upper & lower vineyards, cold soak 3 days.
20% whole bunches were used to bring the perfume of the fruit, with 12 months maturation in French oak, 10% of which was new, with natural malolactic fermentation occurring. There was no fining leading to a vegan friendly wine. Winery Notes
