Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir 2021 (Yarra Valley)

An excellent vintage for Pinot Noir in both the upper and lower Yarra Valley. The 2021 vintage saw a lot of rain leading up to harvest. The sun broke out in February keeping things dry and the temperatures stayed mild leading to high fruit flavour and excellent acidity.

100% Yarra Valley Pinot Noir fruit, 100% hand-picked between February and March. 10% whole bunch fermented, hand plunged and air maceration for colour extraction. A combination of yeasts including indigenous fermentation. 30% matured in French oak for 6 months, 10% new. 2-4 days cold soaking at 10°C preferment.
