De Bortoli Bella Riva Pinot Grigio 2024 (King Valley)

In 1994, the De Bortoli family planted the Bella Riva vineyard on the King River at the base of the Victorian snowfields. The vineyard is planted on sandstone and shale deposits washed down by the river. Several clones of Pinot Grigio on four vineyard sites.

Grapes are de-stemmed and pressed with an emphasis on maximise flavour from the skins. The juice is fermented in stainless tanks with a small portion in older French oak casks. Post ferment the wines are left on yeast lees for texture and complexity.
