Style & Character

Bin 28 is a full-bodied, fruit-driven Shiraz with the characteristic warmth and generosity of South Australian fruit. Sourced from Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and other premium South Australian regions, the wine is matured in a combination of American and French oak to deliver richness and structure without excessive oak dominance. It is approachable on release but rewards two to eight years of cellaring in the best vintages.

Cellaring

While Bin 28 is enjoyable on release, it develops additional complexity with bottle age. Most vintages are at their best between three and eight years from vintage, with the finest years capable of developing for a decade or more. It is one of the most accessible age-worthy wines in the Penfolds portfolio.
