There’s no higher endorsement for the Watershed Awakening Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 from the doyenne James Halliday himself;
“Swept all before it in '12 with seven trophies and six gold medals, and hasn't lost the vibrancy of its youth. It is not a powerhouse, rather it is elegant, medium-bodied and very long, its cassis fruit delicately framed by tannins woven through high quality French oak.”
98 Points - James Halliday, Published 01 November 2017

Winery & Vintage Info

Watershed Wines has been set up by a syndicate of investors, with no expense spared in establishing the substantial vineyard and striking cellar door, with a 200-seat cafe and restaurant. Situated towards the southern end of the Margaret River region, its neighbours include Voyager Estate and Leeuwin Estate. The vineyard development occurred in three stages (2001, '04 and '06), the last in Jindong, well to the north of stages one and two. The first stage of the winery was completed prior to the '03 vintage, with a capacity of 400 tonnes, increased the following year to 900 tonnes, then another expansion in '05 to 1200 tonnes. March '08 saw the crush capacity reach 1600 tonnes; wine storage facilities have increased in lockstep with the crush capacity, lifted by a further 170 000 kilolitres. Winery Notes
