Imbue Distillery Angel's Share Maize Whisky 700mL

Imbue Distillery's Angel's Share Maize Whisky is an Australian whisky made from a blend of local corn and malt, matured for five years in a combination of ex-Bourbon and Australian Rye Solera barrels. Distilled and aged at Imbue's distillery in Research, Victoria, it is a flavour-forward expression of Australian grain, balancing generous sweetness with warming spice and a long, characterful finish.

Tasting Notes

Sweet vanilla and oak open on the nose, with a warmth that signals the corn at the heart of this whisky. The palate is generous and rounded — honeyed nuttiness builds through the mid-palate, supported by the caramel and vanilla character of the barrel maturation. The finish is long and warming, with a gentle wave of peppery spice that lingers well after the glass is empty.

Maturation

Five years in a combination of ex-Bourbon casks and Australian Rye Solera barrels gives the Maize Whisky its layered depth. The two cask types work together to develop the vanilla, caramel and spiced complexity that defines this whisky's character.

Serving

Versatile by design. Enjoy neat to appreciate the full grain and maturation character. Equally at home with artisanal cola, where the vanilla and spice come forward in an excellent long drink, or over ice with dry ginger for a refreshing, aromatic serve.
