The 2024 Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Rosé captivates with its pale, luminous hue and subtle bluish highlights that deepen to orange tones over time. Its complex bouquet reveals red fruits like blackcurrant and redcurrant, complemented by delicate rose and citrus aromas, including grapefruit. On the palate, it delivers a fresh and generous experience, marked by aromatic persistence and exceptional balance, finishing with lively, fruity notes. This rosé exemplifies refined craftsmanship and vibrant elegance from France’s renowned vineyards.

This wine embodies the Mediterranean Art de Vivre, crafted from vineyards rooted in diverse soils including limestone, schist, and river gravels of the Languedoc. Its semi-arid Mediterranean climate—characterised by warm, windy conditions balanced by altitude and sea breezes—ensures optimal grape ripening and freshness. The distinctive bottle, designed by a young talent from École Boulle, features a rose-shaped base, making it a true celebration of craftsmanship and elegance. This rosé is as much a gift as a wine, reminiscent of a bouquet of roses.

Winery & Vintage Info

The different grape varieties are harvested separately, with the aim of achieving optimum ripeness for each. The vinification process is designed to respect the specific characteristics of each grape variety and the capacity of the terroir. Harvesting is mechanical, with on-board sorting. The grapes are de-stemmed, cooled to 8°C and sent to the press to extract the rosé must. Particular care is taken during pressing to ensure that only the highest-quality first juices are retained. The juices are then settled to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the desired aromatic profile. Fermentation lasts between 15 and 30 days, depending on the degree of clarification and temperature applied. The particularity of these vinifications lies in the attention paid to the colour and aromatic purity of the wines. Finally, after light fining, the wine is bottled fairly early to preserve its fresh, fruity character.
