The Old Winery Chardonnay is a modern take on traditional Chardonnay style. Harvested slightly earlier to maintain natural acidity and freshness, the wine received minimal oak and was matured on yeast lees to gain extra texture and complexity.
Appearance
Brilliant pale gold with subtle green highlights that speak to the wine's freshness and quality. The colour displays excellent clarity and brightness, with a luminous core that catches the light beautifully. Medium viscosity is evident, with elegant legs coating the glass.
Aroma
A medium-bodied wine with aromas of stone fruit and subtle vanillin oak. White peach and nectarine dominate, beautifully complemented by notes of citrus blossom and delicate mineral undertones. The aromatic profile is refined and sophisticated, with the fruit and oak elements harmoniously integrated.
Palate
The palate is generously flavoured with white peach and citrus characters. The fruit is ripe yet restrained, showing excellent balance between richness and freshness.
