Abruzzo's Adriatic coastline provides the south-eastern aspect and moderate maritime climate that Sangiovese responds well to: enough warmth for full ripening, enough freshness to preserve the variety's natural acidity and red-fruited vitality. Colour: Attractive garnet red with ruby highlights and good clarity.
Nose: Aromatic and persistent — ripe strawberry and black cherry fruit with a vinous character and subtle hints of wood from partial oak maturation.

Winemaking
Sourced from 100% Sangiovese grown in the territories of Ortona, San Salvo and Pollutri on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Vines are planted with a south-eastern aspect on clay-limestone soils and trained using the traditional pergola system. After harvest, grapes are destemmed and crushed before an initial cold maceration of two days to enhance colour and aromatic extraction. Fermentation and maceration follow at controlled temperatures of 22–24°C for 9–11 days. Between 10 and 20% of the wine is matured in oak, with the remainder aged in stainless steel — a balance that preserves fruit purity while adding gentle complexity. Final ageing takes place in the historic cellars of Caldora Castle in Ortona, a building of significant cultural and viticultural heritage.
