Pauletts Clare Valley Riesling 2026 is a bright, dry expression of one of Australia's classic Riesling regions. Stainless-steel fermentation and early bottling keep the focus firmly on freshness and fruit purity.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Very pale straw-green with youthful brilliance.
Nose: Lifted brown lime and lemon with citrus and orange blossom, followed by white nectarine and subtle tropical fruit.
Palate: Juicy lemon, lime and grapefruit with hints of lemon sorbet and tropical fruit. Bright natural acidity provides freshness, balance and drive.
Finish: Long, clean and persistent.
Winemaking
Machine-harvested Clare Valley Riesling was destemmed and gently pressed, with only the free-run juice used. Fermentation took place in stainless steel with a neutral yeast strain before stabilisation, filtration and early bottling to preserve freshness and varietal purity.
The 2026 Vintage
A cool start was followed by a warm, dry summer that supported even ripening. March rain required careful vineyard management and selective picking, with the resulting Riesling showing freshness, balance and classic Clare Valley citrus character.
