The Taylors Estate Shiraz 2024 is a fruit-forward South Australian Shiraz sourced from two of the state's most expressive Shiraz regions — the Limestone Coast and the Clare Valley. The Limestone Coast contributes cool-climate structure and bright natural acidity; the Clare Valley brings generous mid-palate fruit and depth. Together they produce a wine that is approachable from release yet built with the structure to develop over the medium term. Matured with a combination of French and American oak over 12 months, the 2024 Estate Shiraz delivers the hallmark Taylors Estate character: ripe, generous fruit, silky texture and a clean, satisfying finish.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep red with a dark, intense purple hue at the rim — rich and full in the glass.

Nose: Expressive and inviting — ripe cherry, plum and blueberry lead, layered with violet, mulberry and a distinctive Christmas-cake character. White chocolate and mocha notes add depth and warmth to the bouquet.

Palate: Soft, fresh and fruit-forward with cherry, raspberry and strawberry at the core. Medium tannins and a silky structure give the palate an easy, comfortable weight, while oak-derived complexity adds dimension without dominating the fruit.

Finish: Long and structured, with oak tannin providing a clean, supportive close that carries the fruit through to a satisfying end.

Winemaking

Sourced from Shiraz grown across the Limestone Coast and Clare Valley, the 2024 Estate Shiraz was matured using a combination of French and American oak over 12 months. The wine was then fined and minimally filtered before bottling — a process that preserves fruit freshness while delivering the textural consistency the Estate range is known for.
