Distillery Info

Beenleigh Artisan Rum is more than just a rum, in fact it is more than just a spirit – it is a tribute to bold Australian enterprise and the stuff that legends are made of.

Australia’s oldest registered distillery and the people and the rum that made it what it is today.

In 1865, John Davy and Francis Gooding, hailing from England, acquired 300 acres of land along the Albert River. They christened the area "Beenleigh," reminiscent of their Devonshire farm back home. Initially planning to cultivate cotton, serendipity led them to sugar cane, setting the stage for a remarkable journey.

Legend has it that during this era, a figure known as James Stewart, or 'The Bosun,' was navigating the waters with a vision. As fate intertwined the paths of these pioneers, the legacy of Beenleigh Artisan Rum began to take shape. The fusion of expertise, dedication, and a touch of destiny culminated in the birth of a timeless spirit.

Over the years, Beenleigh Artisan Rum has evolved into more than just a beverage. It embodies the spirit of resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to craft.
