Collection: T'Gallant | Mornington Peninsula

T'Gallant is the winery that introduced Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris to Australia. Founded in 1990 by Kevin McCarthy and Kathleen Quealy on a former apple orchard in Main Ridge, Mornington Peninsula, the estate recognised that the cool maritime climate replicated ideal European conditions for the variety. Their experiments with crisp Italian-style Pinot Grigio and richer French-style Pinot Gris sparked an explosion of Pinot Gris plantings across the country and established T'Gallant as one of the most influential wineries in Australian wine history.

Today the T'Gallant wine brand is produced by Treasury Wine Estates under winemaker Tom Shanahan. The range draws on two distinct sources: cool-climate Mornington Peninsula fruit for the Pinot Grigio, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir expressions, and the Veneto, Italy for the Prosecco — bringing authentic regional character to the sparkling range. The Juliet range offers an accessible, contemporary entry point into the T'Gallant style.

Mornington Peninsula & Veneto

Main Ridge sits at the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula, where the cool maritime influence of Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait creates one of Australia’s finest cool-climate wine regions — the foundation of T'Gallant’s Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris. The Prosecco is sourced from the Veneto in north-eastern Italy, the home of the variety, where the Glera grape produces the lively, fresh sparkling wines that have defined the style globally.
