Pico Maccario Barolo DOCG 2017 (Italy)

The Pico Maccario Barolo 2017 is a dry red wine, grown on hills 25-300 metres above sea level. The soils are calcareous and clay marls, rich of slime and compact sands.

Made using Nebbiolo fruit handpicked with accurate selection of the grapes, followed up by a delicate crushing and de-stemming. Traditional vinification and maceration for 13-15 days with gentle wetting of the hat. 18 months in Slavonian 25/35 hectolitre barrels, and additional 12 months refinement in the bottle before the release.
