Little Giant Grenache 2025 is a vibrant McLaren Vale red that combines generous fruit flavour with the freshness and finesse of Grenache. Made by Corey Ryan from vineyards around Seaview and Willunga, it brings together juicy red berries, subtle spice and fine tannins in an approachable, medium-bodied style.

Fruit from older and younger Grenache vineyards is fermented in small batches, with gentle extraction designed to preserve freshness and texture. Maturation in older oak and stainless steel allows the fruit to remain at the centre of the wine, delivering a lively combination of cherry, raspberry, strawberry and savoury complexity.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Vibrant ruby red.

Nose: Red cherry, ripe raspberry and wild strawberry, with subtle spice, dried herbs and earthy undertones.

Palate: Juicy red berries and delicate spice on a plush, medium-bodied palate, supported by bright acidity and fine, supple tannins.

Finish: Smooth and lingering, with persistent red fruit, gentle savoury spice and refreshing acidity.

Vineyard & Winemaking

Little Giant Grenache is sourced from established vineyards around Seaview and Willunga in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Winemaker Corey Ryan ferments selected parcels in small, open-top fermenters, using gentle extraction to develop colour and tannin without overwhelming the fruit. The wine is matured partly in older oak and partly in stainless steel before blending and bottling.

Critic Reviews

“I’ve tasted through a good many of the current Little Giant range and this is my pick of them. It’s spot on for style, flavour and value. It tastes of red cherries and redcurrant with infusions of peppercorn and general, roasted spice. But it’s those sweet red berry flavours, not overdone, served unadorned and without too much heat, that impresses, and makes you want to drink more.”
