Romulus is Sons of Eden's distinctive old-vine Barossa Shiraz, drawn from mature vineyards around Light Pass and Nuriootpa. The 2023 vintage combines the generosity of Barossa fruit with carefully managed structure, delivering a richly flavoured wine that retains balance and definition.
Selected old-vine parcels provide concentration and depth, while traditional small-batch fermentation and maturation in French oak contribute texture, complexity and polish. This is a substantial Shiraz with the refinement to reward both thoughtful drinking and time in the cellar.
Colour: Deep ruby red with a concentrated, youthful appearance.
Nose: Dark red berries, coffee bean, dried herbs and sweet spice, with subtle savoury complexity.
Palate: Ripe, juicy red fruit supported by velvety tannins, integrated French oak and layered spice. Generous yet balanced, with impressive depth.
Finish: Long and persistent, carrying ripe fruit, savoury spice and fine tannins through the finish.
