One step below Richard Hennessy, Paradis is a hors d’âge Cognac composed of several hundred rare eaux-de-vie, created by cellar master Maurice Fillioux in 1979 as a tribute to his love of music. He compared the blend to a symphonic orchestra — “classical music that takes you away and connects with your emotions.” The number of instruments is not a measure of success, but the purity of sound and the virtuosity of the conductor. The same holds true for Hennessy Paradis, in which eaux-de-vie are selected for their individual qualities that together create a harmonious and graceful Cognac.

Nose

Jasmine, citrus blossom, cedar forest and a touch of forest floor. Unexpectedly light amber in colour with a very complex bouquet.

Palate

Crisp, fresh and spicy — green tobacco, licorice and spring herbs, with a lean, angular structure that stands out.

Reviews

“This is the jewel of the Prestige collection… with Paradis you will at least get a delicious, subtle, complex brandy.”
95 Points — Jason Wilson, Vinous.com
