Winemaking Notes

Giesen introduces the latest addition to their alcohol-removed wine range with the 0% New Zealand Rosé. They select fruit from vineyards in Marlborough and Waipara to craft a full-strength wine primed to have the alcohol removed. Fruit from Marlborough adds crispness to the wine, whilst Waipara delivers beautiful aromatics. They create premium, full-strength New Zealand rosé before using advanced spinning cone technology to gently remove first the aroma, and then the alcohol. They collect the delicate aroma and recombine it with the wine to maintain its distinctive nose. A touch of premium grape juice rounds out the final blend to add just a little sweetness and body, resulting in a refreshing, dry non-alcoholic wine with low calories.

Vintage Conditions

The fruit is selected from premium vineyards in Marlborough and Waipara, two of New Zealand's most celebrated wine regions. Marlborough's cool climate and long sunshine hours create ideal conditions for developing the crisp cranberry flavours and refreshing acidity, whilst Waipara's warm days and cool nights contribute the beautiful aromatics of white peach, apple and fresh strawberries. The combination of fruit from these two distinctive regions creates a full-strength wine with excellent varietal characteristics before the alcohol is gently removed.
