Ardbeg Ardcore is a distinctly flavourful and complex single malt Scotch whisky from the Islay region. It boasts a fresh, floral, and herbal profile, with notes of mixed herbs, cedar wood, and zesty citrus fruits like smoked orange and grapefruit. The addition of water reveals powerful bursts of diesel oil, tar, and fresh paint, as well as a touch of aniseed. As it settles, subtle hints of freshly cut hay, silage, and a savoury element, reminiscent of yeast extract or bread dough, linger on the palate.
