Collection: Pipers Brook Estate | Tasmania

Pipers Brook Estate is the flagship range from Kreglinger Wine Estates, produced from the estate's best vineyard sites in the Pipers River Region of northern Tasmania. Established in 1974 as one of Tasmania's founding cool-climate wine producers, Pipers Brook Estate wines represent the fullest expression of the estate's oldest vines, volcanic soils and maritime climate.

The Vineyards

Sourced from two distinct growing areas — Pipers Brook in the northeast, with Ferrosol volcanic soils close to Bass Strait and subject to strong maritime influences, and Strathlynn on the west bank of the Tamar River, 70km to the southwest, where Vertosol black cracking clay soils on hillside slopes offer warm, settled and relatively dry growing conditions. Pioneering clonal and mass selection vines ageing up to 40 years deliver the concentration, depth and complexity that define the Pipers Brook Estate style. All fruit is hand-picked and hand-sorted.

The Style

Pipers Brook Estate wines sit at the premium tier of the Kreglinger portfolio — above Ninth Island and Pipers Tasmania in depth, structure and cellaring potential. The Pinot Noir is aged nine months on lees in French oak barrels in cool underground cellars before bottling under screwcap. The sparkling wines are crafted using traditional methods from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, aged over a year before release. These are wines built for the table and the cellar, reflecting fifty years of winemaking knowledge from one of Tasmania's most respected estates.
