Rouleur's 2025 Pinot Gris et al is a Whitlands High Plateau expression from King Valley, shaped by 95% Pinot Gris with small additions of Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. Skin contact brings a gentle phenolic edge, while freshness, acidity and lees-derived richness give the wine both lift and texture. Aromatics of pear, citrus and spice add detail to its saline, structured palate.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Light, bright copper-peach.
Nose: Fresh white pear, blood orange and spice, with mandarin, orchard fruit, potpourri and exotic musk notes.
Palate: Flavour-packed, saline and well structured, balancing freshness and acidity with lees-derived richness and subtle phenolic texture.
Finish: Fresh and lightly grippy.
Winemaking
The current producer information lists a blend of 95% Pinot Gris, 3% Chardonnay and 2% Gewürztraminer. 60% of the Pinot Gris was destemmed and fermented on skins for 11 days; the remaining fruit was whole-bunch pressed directly to barrel and wild fermented until dry.

Subtle aromas of freshly sliced white pear, blood orange and spice lead onto the flavour-packed, saline and well-structured palate. Finishes with a refreshing touch of grip.
