Collection: Philip Shaw | Orange, New South Wales

Philip Shaw spent decades as chief winemaker at Rosemount Estate before turning his attention to Orange — a high-altitude cool-climate region in New South Wales that he believed was capable of producing wines of genuine elegance and precision. He was right. Koomooloo Vineyard, planted at 900 metres above sea level, is the foundation of everything the winery produces.

The range is built around Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon also produced from the estate. The No. series represents the accessible tier — No. 11 Chardonnay and No. 19 Pinot Noir are the entry points into the range. The Architect sits above, offering greater complexity and structure. Across all tiers, the wines share a common character: cool-climate precision, natural acidity and a restraint that reflects the altitude and the site.

Philip Shaw is now joined by his son Daniel, who has taken on winemaking responsibilities and continues the family’s focus on Orange as one of Australia’s most distinctive cool-climate regions.
