Giesen Pure Light Sauvignon Blanc 2024 brings the vibrant tropical fruit, citrus and fresh herbal character of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to a lighter-alcohol style. At 5.9% alcohol, it offers the freshness and flavour Sauvignon Blanc drinkers enjoy, with considerably less alcohol than a conventional full-strength example.
The fruit comes from Marlborough and Waipara, two of New Zealand's established winegrowing regions.
Giesen makes Pure Light using traditional winemaking alongside alcohol-reduction technology. The fruit is fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel, followed by three months on lees to develop texture. After blending, some of the alcohol is removed using spinning-cone technology.
The result is a crisp, refreshing white with tropical fruit, lively citrus and freshly cut herbs. Bright acidity balances a gentle touch of sweetness, making it a lovely choice for relaxed afternoons, seafood lunches or lighter meals.
