Collection: Fox Creek Wines | McLaren Vale

Fox Creek Wines is one of McLaren Vale's most celebrated estates — an award-winning producer with deep roots in the region and a history of crafting wines that are unmistakably of this place. Founded in 1984 by Helen and Dr Jim Watts, the winery has passed through several hands, each committed to preserving what makes Fox Creek significant: its connection to the Vale, its long-term grower relationships, and its reputation for wines that are honest, generous and built to last.

Since mid 2025, Fox Creek has been under the custodianship of the Maxwell family — well established in McLaren Vale and long admirers of the brand. The wines continue to be made in McLaren Vale, from the fruit and the growers that have always defined them.

McLaren Vale

McLaren Vale sits at the southern end of the Mount Lofty Ranges, where the moderating influence of the Gulf St Vincent and the Southern Ocean tempers the warm South Australian climate. Ancient soils — ironstone, clay and sand — produce Shiraz of extraordinary depth and generosity, with the structure and concentration to age for decades. Fox Creek has worked with this terroir since 1984, and the Reserve Shiraz — twice Bushing King and listed in Langton's Classification of Australian Fine Wines — is the clearest expression of what the region can achieve.
