Trentham Estate Pinot Noir 2025 is a carefully crafted Murray Darling Pinot Noir from the estate’s best vineyard — where the grapes ripened slowly and evenly to deliver exceptional fruit quality in a variety that is as temperamental in the vineyard as it is rewarding in the glass. Sweet plum and cherry spice on the nose, a burst of red berry fruits on the palate, subtle French oak adding a touch of spice, and soft, chalky tannins creating a smooth and satisfying finish.

Appearance

Bright, clear ruby — the vibrant colour of a Pinot Noir of genuine fruit purity and careful winemaking from the Murray Darling.

Aroma

Sweet plum and cherry spice lead a fragrant and inviting bouquet, with the red berry character that is the hallmark of a cold-soaked Pinot Noir of genuine quality and care.

Palate

A burst of red berry fruits on the palate, with subtle French oak adding a touch of spice and soft, chalky tannins delivering a smooth and satisfying finish. Pinot Noir makes some of the most famous wines in the world — and this is a fine example of why.

Winemaking Notes

Sourced from Trentham Estate’s best vineyard, where the grapes ripened slowly and evenly to deliver exceptional fruit quality. The grapes were de-stemmed and pumped through a chiller into the fermentation vessel at 5°C, then cold-soaked for 36 hours before yeast was added — a technique used to increase the red berry characters in the wine. After the addition of yeast, the wine was fermented on skins for five days before pressing. A portion of the wine was then matured in French oak before blending and bottling, adding the subtle spice and structure that complement the wine’s natural fruit character.
