The King’s Ginger is made for Berry Bros. & Rudd in Schiedam, Holland by a 300 year old family owned business and largest producer of cocktail liqueurs in the world.
Every batch is made by a Master Distiller with over 30 years experience. Fresh Ginger Root is sourced from the best origins around the world and is shredded into tiny pieces, then collected in pillowcase like cotton bag and steeped in water overnight. The distillery uses over 1 tonne of ginger every year creating this liqueur.
The ginger is then macerated in a ground tank with neutral spirit for 4 weeks. Lemon oil distillate, made by steeping lemon oil in water and neutral spirit, is then added to ginger. The proportion of ginger is 16 grams to 1 litre of molasses spirit. Finally, sugar is added to the mix, and the liquid is bottled to create the ultimate revivifier!
