The wine displays a fine, persistent bead with elegant effervescence, creating a creamy mousse that speaks to quality traditional-method production. The clarity is excellent, with brilliant transparency that invites the first sip.

Aroma

The bouquet is complex and inviting, opening with aromatic notes of freshly baked bread crust and toasted hazelnuts—hallmarks of extended lees ageing. These savoury characters are beautifully complemented by delicate hints of rose water and fresh red berries. Winemaking Notes

The Cuvée Rosé NV by Taltarni is a carefully crafted blend of Pinot Noir 51%, Chardonnay 42%, and Pinot Meunier 7%. The fruit was pressed in an oxidative manner, allowing phenolics to settle and be removed from the juice through traditional fermentation methods, cold settling, and low temperature techniques. This approach ensures the wine reflects the quality of the fruit whilst developing an elegant textural component. Partial malolactic fermentation was undertaken in oak with selected Chardonnay components to further enhance the structure and complexity of the wine. Once blended and prepared for tirage, the wine was inoculated with a Champagne yeast strain for its secondary fermentation in bottle, following the méthode traditionnelle that defines quality sparkling wine production.

Vintage Conditions

As a non-vintage cuvée, this wine showcases the best characteristics of Victoria's Pyrenees region, Tasmania & South Australia across multiple growing seasons. The cool climate fruit exhibited bright varietal character, delivering lovely line and length through a delicate natural acidity that provides freshness and drive. The blending of wines from different vintages allows the winemaking team to maintain consistency and quality year after year, ensuring the wine displays the hallmark elegance, vibrant red berry fruit, and refined texture that define this expression.
