Little Goat Creek Pinot Noir 2024 is a concentrated, flavour-packed organic Pinot Noir from the heart of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley — ripe cherry and dark fruit flavours flow through the wine with hints of oak, a fine tannin structure, soft mouthfeel and good length. Sourced from organic vineyards where low crop levels produce small, concentrated berries with thicker skins and greater flavour, crafted by winemakers Chris Darling and Bart Arnst with over 30 years of combined winemaking experience across France, Greece, Czech Republic, Australia and New Zealand.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Little Goat Creek Pinot Noir 2024 presents a bold, deep ruby colour with excellent clarity — the hallmark of a concentrated organic Marlborough Pinot Noir sourced from low-cropped vineyards where small berries and thicker skins deliver greater colour, flavour and depth. Rich and immediately inviting in the glass.

Aroma

Ripe cherry and dark fruit lead the aromatics with a vibrant, concentrated generosity — the organic vineyard management and low crop levels building a natural resistance to the elements and producing fruit of exceptional flavour intensity and purity. Hints of oak add a gentle, integrated complexity and warmth that frames the dark fruit character with elegance and depth. A nose of genuine Marlborough character and organic fruit expression.

Palate

Ripe cherry and dark fruit flavours flow through the palate with a juicy, concentrated richness — hints of oak add a soft, integrated warmth, while the fine tannin structure and soft mouthfeel deliver a wine of genuine elegance and approachability. Good length on the finish with a satisfying depth and concentration that speaks eloquently of the Wairau Valley’s long summer days, cool nights and organic viticulture. This wine will drink well anytime.

Pairs With

A natural match for savoury canapés, red meat dishes and winter salads — equally outstanding alongside roast lamb, beef bourguignon, duck confit, mushroom risotto or a classic New Zealand cheese board. Winemaking Notes

Little Goat Creek Pinot Noir 2024 is sourced from organic vineyards in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley — where low crop levels produce small berries with thicker skins, contributing to a concentrated, flavour-packed wine of genuine depth and character. Grapes were picked once the typical flavours of Marlborough were shining through, then crushed to different fermenters to allow a range of components for blending. Daily plunging allowed soft tannins to emerge, and by selecting the best combination of parcels, winemakers Chris Darling and Bart Arnst produced a wine of exceptional flavour and texture. All components were aged on oak until blending, adding greater flavour and softness to the final wine. 13% alc. 750ml. Marlborough, New Zealand.

Vintage Conditions

Little Goat Creek is named after a real creek in the heart of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley — flowing from the Richmond Ranges into the Wairau River, its waters feeding the fertile land that produces Marlborough’s famous grapes. New Zealand’s climate is perfect for producing wines of purity and freshness — long summer days and cool nights preserve aromatic intensity and varietal expression, while the organic vineyards build a natural resistance to the elements through thicker skins and concentrated fruit. The 2024 vintage delivers classic Marlborough Pinot Noir character with ripe dark fruit, fine tannins and the soft, elegant mouthfeel that defines Chris Darling and Bart Arnst’s winemaking philosophy. Little Goat Creek, Marlborough, New Zealand.
