Chateau Mont-Redon Réserve Côtes du Rhône 2024 is a Syrah and Grenache-led blend from one of the Southern Rhône's most celebrated and historically significant estates — owners of some of the most highly regarded vineyard sites in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and a consistently outstanding source of value from the Rhône Valley. The 2024 combines 45% Syrah, 45% Grenache Noir, 7% Carignan and 3% other varieties including Mourvèdre and Counoise to deliver intense red fruit, warming spice and fine, elegant tannins in an approachable, immediately inviting style.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Deep, bright garnet with excellent clarity — the rich, appealing colour of a well-made Southern Rhône blend from a producer with almost 100 hectares of carefully tended vines.

Aroma

Intense and inviting, with vibrant red-fruit aromas — red cherry, raspberry and plum — layered with warm spice. The blend of Syrah and Grenache Noir creates an aromatic profile of genuine interest and Rhône character.

Palate

Balanced and expressive, with the aromatic red-fruit and spice character carried beautifully through the palate. Fine tannins provide structure without austerity, and the finish is clean, persistent and satisfying. Vinified to preserve fresh-fruit character, the 2024 is immediately approachable while carrying honest Côtes du Rhône depth.

Vineyard & Rhône Valley

The Réserve draws on Côtes du Rhône vineyards across a varied landscape of pebble-covered soils and fine sandy soils — the Mediterranean climate, characterised by hot, dry summers and the cleansing influence of the Mistral, delivering naturally healthy, ripe fruit each September at harvest. Chateau Mont-Redon's Réserve is a tribute to the region's breadth and generosity: a Côtes du Rhône built with the same precision and estate seriousness as the domaine's celebrated Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Winemaking

Each grape variety is vinified separately to preserve its distinctive character. Controlled maceration extracts fine tannins and rich colour without extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is matured in temperature-controlled vats for 8 to 10 months to protect and develop its fresh red-fruit character before bottling.

Cellaring & Serving

Ready to enjoy now, with sufficient structure to develop in bottle over 4 to 5 years from harvest. Serve at around 16–18°C.

Food Pairing

A natural companion to roasted chicken, grilled meats, steak, game terrine, cured ham and cheese — the fine tannins and red-fruit character providing genuine versatility at the table.
