Turkey Flat Rosé 2026 is a purposeful expression from the Barossa Valley — a wine made to demonstrate that Australian Rosé can occupy serious fine-wine territory and that the Barossa is well-placed to be its source. The 2026 delivers fresh red summer berries and watermelon alongside grapefruit, guava, spice and perfumed Turkish Delight. The palate is tight, taut and structured, with mouthwatering acidity, puckering phenolics and a delicate sweetness that keeps the wine balanced and sophisticated. Freshness-focused winemaking in 100% stainless steel preserves every note of aromatic purity.

Tasting Notes

Fresh red summer berries, watermelon, grapefruit and guava lead the bouquet, with spice and perfumed Turkish Delight adding character and lift. The palate is tight and structured with mouthwatering acidity and puckering phenolics — a rosé of genuine vinous ambition. Delicate sweetness provides balance without softening the wine's distinctly savoury edge. The finish is clean, crisp and refreshing.

Vintage 2026

Late-January heat accelerated ripening across the Barossa Valley, setting an early pace for the 2026 season. Early-March rainfall provided welcome relief, helping vines recover from hot, dry conditions and slowing the vintage's progression. Berry splitting was a regional concern during this period, though Turkey Flat reports its fruit remained unaffected and disease-free. Ripening then continued more steadily, allowing the fruit to reach optimal maturity. Turkey Flat considers the challenging season to have produced high-quality wines.

Winemaking

Each individual vineyard parcel was picked and vinified separately at differing stages of maturity, preserving the distinct character of each site. The fruit was crushed and delicately pressed to stainless-steel tanks, cold settled and racked before fermentation commenced. A cool, long fermentation maximised aromatic intensity and purity. Following fermentation, components were blended, filtered and sent promptly to bottle to preserve freshness. Winemaker James Adams harvested across February and March 2026, with the wine bottled in June 2026. Residual sugar: 3.6 g/L.

Cellaring & Serving

Turkey Flat Rosé 2026 is crafted for youthful drinking and is best consumed in its youth whilst the vibrant fruit aromatics and fresh acidity are at their peak. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C.
