Ink Sloe & Berry Gin is an antipodean take on the classic English sloe gin recipe — crafted at Husk Distillery in the Tweed Valley, NSW, with juniper berry, coriander, angelica and liquorice root as the base, a tart infusion of sloe berries balanced by an explosion of sweet red berries, and finished with wild-harvested Australian rosella flowers for vibrant colour and a crisp, tart complexity. A refreshing lower-strength “Drink Less — Enjoy More” option at the traditional sloe gin strength of 26% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Ink Sloe & Berry Gin presents a stunning deep ruby-red hue with excellent clarity — the hallmark of a naturally coloured Australian sloe gin infused with wild-harvested rosella flowers, sloe berries and sweet red berries at Husk Distillery in the Tweed Valley, NSW. Vivid, jewel-like and immediately captivating in the glass. Note: the 100% natural colour contains no artificial stabilisers — organic colours fade over time, so enjoy your bottle sooner rather than later.

Aroma

Tart sloe berries and an explosion of sweet red berries lead the aromatics with a vibrant, fruit-forward generosity — Australian rosella flowers add a crisp, floral hibiscus complexity that is uniquely and unmistakably antipodean. The base gin botanicals of juniper berry, coriander, angelica and liquorice root weave through with a confident, classic gin depth and structure. A nose of genuine originality, brightness and Australian character.

Palate

The tart infusion of sloe berries leads on the palate with a bright, refreshing vibrancy — balanced beautifully by an explosion of sweet red berry fruit that delivers a luscious, satisfying richness. Australian rosella flowers add a crisp, tart hibiscus complexity that keeps the palate lively and fresh, while juniper berry, coriander, angelica and liquorice root provide the classic gin backbone and depth. At 26% ABV, this is a refreshing, lower-strength gin of genuine character and enjoyment — perfect for sipping on the rocks.

Pairs With

Outstanding on the rocks as a refreshing lower-strength sipper — equally exceptional in a classic Sloe Gin Fizz, a Berry Spritz with premium soda and fresh berries, or alongside dark chocolate, berry pavlova, soft-ripened cheeses or a classic summer fruit platter. The sloe berry, sweet red berry, rosella flower and classic gin botanical character make this one of the most distinctive and rewarding Australian sloe gins available.

Production Notes

Ink Sloe & Berry Gin is crafted at Husk Distillery in the Tweed Valley, NSW — an antipodean take on the classic English sloe gin recipe. The base gin is distilled with juniper berry, coriander, angelica and liquorice root before a tart infusion of sloe berries is balanced by an explosion of sweet red berries. The final ingredient is Australian rosella flowers — a type of hibiscus growing wild on the fringes of tropical rainforest in northern Australia, adding vibrant natural colour and a crisp, tart complexity to balance the sweeter botanicals. 100% natural colour with no artificial stabilisers — organic colours fade over time. Sitting at the traditional sloe gin strength of 26% ABV. 700ml. Tweed Valley, NSW, Australia.
