Harveys Bristol Cream is a global icon of sherry — created in 1882 by John Harvey II and his brother Edward, granted the Royal Warrant shortly after, and crafted ever since from a meticulous selection of over 30 blends of Fino, Oloroso, Amontillado, and Pedro Ximenez. Aged in American oak casks using the traditional solera and criadera system, this is a cream sherry of genuine depth, richness, and silky mellow smoothness that has made it one of the world’s most recognised and beloved fortified wines. Best enjoyed chilled at 12°C in a wine glass, or over ice with a slice of orange. 80% Palomino, 20% Pedro Ximenez.

Deep golden with chestnut and amber tones — the rich, warm colour of a cream sherry of genuine age and complexity.

Production Notes

Harveys Bristol Cream is crafted from a meticulous selection of over 30 blends — delicate Finos, aged Amontillados, fragrant Olorosos, and the special Pedro Ximenez grape (80% Palomino, 20% Pedro Ximenez) — aged in American oak casks using the traditional system of soleras and criaderas. Sugar: 135 g/L. The quality of each drop is overseen by Manuel José Valcárcel, Harveys Master Blender for over 20 years, ensuring the unique liquid is always held to the highest standards.

Producer History

Harveys was founded in Bristol in 1796 by merchant William Perry, and during the 19th century became one of the largest importers of sherry from the Bay of Cádiz to the port of Bristol. Bristol Cream was created in 1882 by John Harvey II and his brother Edward — a blend so exceptional it was granted the Royal Warrant shortly after its launch and has been a global icon of sherry ever since. The sherries are sourced from the finest vineyards and bodegas in Jerez — a region with its own unique microclimate, shaped by fresh humid winds from the west and warm dry winds from the east, albariza soils, and 300 days of sunshine a year, making it the undisputed global centre of sherry production.
