Appearance

Rich ruby red with excellent depth and clarity, displaying the vibrant colour intensity characteristic of quality Barbera from Piedmont's finest vineyards.

Aroma

The nose reveals refined floral notes intertwined with ripe red fruit aromas—think cherries, raspberries and red plums. Delicate spice nuances emerge alongside subtle hints of dark chocolate, adding complexity and intrigue to the aromatic profile.

Palate

Full-bodied and beautifully structured, this Barbera delivers on its aromatic promise with generous ripe red fruit flavours. The mouthfeel is notably velvety and smooth, enhanced by a gentle touch of dark chocolate that adds depth without heaviness. A natural 6g residual sugar content provides subtle roundness whilst maintaining the wine's fresh acidity—a hallmark of great Barbera. The finish is long and intense, with delicate spice lingering pleasantly on the palate.

Pairs With

Italian pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces, wood-fired pizza with cured meats, grilled lamb chops with rosemary, aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano-Reggiano, charcuterie boards featuring salami and prosciutto, mushroom risotto and braised beef dishes.

Winery & Vintage Info

Vintage Conditions

The essence of Piedmont in a glass. From Langhe to Monferrato, fine grapes become wines of unparalleled harmony. Warm scents and persistent flavours narrate the soul of a millennia-old land. The 2024 vintage showcases the expertise of winemakers who create wines of the highest quality, authentic expressions of the territory that honour centuries of viticultural tradition.

Winemaking

The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected on sorting tables in the cellar, ensuring only the finest fruit proceeds to vinification. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures, followed by skin maceration for 10 days with daily pumping over to extract optimal colour, tannin and flavour compounds. The wine is then aged in large wooden barrels for 3 months, allowing gentle integration whilst preserving the vibrant fruit character that defines exceptional Barbera.
