Matured in premium ex-Port fortified-wine casks from Porto, Portugal, this full-bodied Tasmanian single malt combines rich dark fruit, oak and cocoa with a viscous, silky texture shaped by Tasmania's cool-climate maturation.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Rich golden brown.
Nose: Toasty oak and struck match open into toasted caramel, marshmallow, jammy prune, apricot and dried fig, with coffee and delicately smoked-meat notes adding complexity.
Palate: Rich and viscous, with sweet jammy fruit leading the palate before oak develops through the middle. Dark cocoa and dried fruit build through the back palate, supported by an oily, silky texture.
Finish: Smooth and lingering, with sweet fruit, cleansing minerality and subtle cask-char undertones.
Cask & Maturation
Invicta undergoes full-term ageing in first-fill, freshly decanted fortified-wine casks sourced from Porto, including Ruby Port, White Port and Madeira casks. Bottled at natural colour and non-chill filtered, the whisky retains the richness and texture developed through maturation.
