Zilzie introduces Selection 23 Breeze wines – a lighter version of the Selection 23 wines. Designed for those who prefer a lower-alcohol option, ‘Breeze’ provides the same flavour and quality with a lighter feel. The process begins by crafting a full-strength wine from selected parcels with intense aromas and flavours. The alcohol is then gently reduced to 8.0-9.5% without using heat or harsh processes, ensuring that the aromas and flavours remain intact. The Selection 23 Breeze range maintains the appearance, aroma, and taste of traditional wine but in a lighter style suitable for any time of day or night. This makes it a choice for those looking to reduce their alcohol intake while still enjoying wine.
The front label of Selection 23 Breeze mirrors the artistic interpretation of the Zilzie property seen on our Selection 23 labels, with a softer touch.
Harvested in the cool night air to ensure peak freshness and quality, the fruit for the Zilzie Selection 23 Breeze Pinot Grigio was cool fermented in individual batches in stainless steel. Lees stirring was employed to add length and roundness to the palate. The wine was then blended, stabilised, and filtered prior to bottling.
Zilzie Selection 23 Breeze Pinot Grigio contains at least 25% less alcohol and calories than the 750mL 2024 Selection 23 Pinot Grigio.
