The aroma of fresh stone fruits appears immediately, gently followed by hints of juniper and citrus zest in the Whitley Neill Quince Gin . The distinctive flavour of quince dominates the palate, giving way to the sweetness of apricots and peaches, with a long, fruity finish that opens out into orange blossoms and zesty grapefruits.

Distillery Info

If there was a rainbow made out of Gin – surely the Copper pot at the end would be the Whitley Neill one. All the colours and flavours are on display – Quince, Rhubarb, Blood Orange, Violet, and Blackberry

Whitley Neill is an award winning distiller and family with a fascination for crafting spirits since 1762.

Whitley Neill is made from a 100% grain spirit that is immersed with botanicals prior to being distilled in a beautiful antique copper pot still called ‘Constance’ who is over 100 years old.
Only the purest water is used and each of the nine botanicals are carefully selected to ensure that they are of the highest quality. Whitley Neill’s tagline of “Crafted from the tree of life” goes a long way in describing what those botanicals might be.

Bringing together a mix of innovative botanicals like cape gooseberries and baobab fruit to its lineup, it also has other more traditional botanicals such as juniper, coriander, lemon & orange peel, angelica root, cassia bark and orris root.

The tagline also lends its cues to the attitude taken on by the creator Johnny Neill, as it reflects his fresh 21st century outlook whilst also making a reference to gin’s heritage and the London based gin distilling experience put into use at the distillery.

When Frederick Neill found himself on a voyage through Persia, he discovered a range of exotic fruit, herbs and spices to add inspiration to the Greenall Whitley family’s collection of Gin recipes. While there, he was surprised to discover quince fruits growing in the ancient mountains. And it’s the unmistakable sweet tang of Turkish quince, blended with a heady mix of Persian herbs and spices that gives Whitley Neill Quince Gin its distinctive, alluring taste. A handcrafted gin of exceptional quality, with a flavour that’s as rich as its ancestry.
