Each cask selected has spent its entire maturation period of almost two decades exclusively in sherry seasoned oak, delivering the unmistakable sweetness of vanilla and fresh fruits from the American oak, beautifully balanced with soft spices and dried fruits from the European oak. Released annually, the 2025 Release features reimagined packaging designed in collaboration with legendary graphic designer David Carson — a bold, artistic translation of The Macallan’s story, provenance, and Six Pillars. The whisky inside remains the same: smooth, creamy, and of exceptional quality.

Appearance
Rich, warm amber — an entirely natural colour derived exclusively from sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, with the depth and warmth that almost two decades of patient maturation in Jerez-seasoned oak deliver.
Aroma
Dried fruit and toffee lead with richness and warmth, with candied citrus peel, ginger, and nutmeg adding complexity and spice. The harmonious balance of American and European oak sherry seasoning is immediately evident — a nose of genuine depth and distinction.
Palate
Raisin, sultana, and dried apricot carry through a smooth, creamy palate of impressive depth and complexity, with treacle toffee, vanilla, and ginger adding sweetness and warmth. Toasted wood spice and baked apple provide structure and balance. The finish is long, with warm oak and citrus.
