Vintage Conditions

The 2023 vintage in the Veneto region's Soave Classico appellation presented exceptional conditions for Garganega production, allowing the Tamellini family's best 11 hectares to produce fruit of outstanding quality and distinctive character. The growing season provided ideal conditions for the development of the wine's elegant and precise aromatic profile, with the region's terroir imparting the harmonious minerality and savoury qualities that define premium Soave Classico. The clusters were carefully monitored throughout the season, with grapes selected later in the harvest to ensure optimal ripeness and concentration. The Tamellini family, who have been cultivating vineyards for generations, applied their inherited knowledge and passion to the 2023 vintage, with brothers Gaetano and Pio Francesco continuing the legacy established when they founded their winery in 1998. Their commitment to honouring the traditions of Soave whilst employing the latest technology, combined with vineyard management practised without herbicides in respect of nature, resulted in an exclusive and rich blend that showcases different Garganega clones at their finest.

Winemaking Notes

Tamellini Soave Classico Le Bine De Costiola 2023 is crafted using meticulous winemaking methods that preserve the original rich aromas and taste of the noble Garganega grape. The clusters are selected in the vineyard and collected in bins by hand, ensuring only the finest fruit from the estate's best parcels is chosen. The pressing is done without destemming and with soft crushing to maintain the wine's elegant and precise character. The must is cooled to 5 degrees Celsius, then fermented with temperature control at 15 degrees Celsius, preserving the wine's fruity and fresh notes along with its delicate jasmine and fennel aromatics. Following fermentation, the wine rests for 5-6 months before being bottled, allowing the flavours to integrate and develop the harmonious, mineral, and savoury qualities that characterise this exclusive Soave Classico. After one year from bottling, the wine is released on the market, ensuring it has achieved the unique character and refinement that comes from long refinement in steel and the Tamellini family's dedication to creating something truly special.
