In 1998 they began converting the vineyards to organic production, and the result is not only better tasting wines but also a more environmentally sustainable farm. Tamburlaine is Australia's largest certified organic wine grape producer. The fruit for Tamburlaine's Organic & Preservative Free Cabernet Merlot is sourced from high-altitude vineyards of Orange, NSW. Named after Christopher Marlowe's famous play and character 'Tamburlaine the Great', they work to lead the way with their Contemporary Organics vision, successfully producing award-winning organic, vegan-friendly, low sulphur and no added sulphur wines. Managing Director and Chief Winemaker Mark Davidson has built his long-term winemaking philosophy around contemporary organic practices in the vineyard and the winery, allowing the natural fruit expression to shine through whilst ensuring an authentic, unadulterated taste experience.
