Poggiotondo Organic Chianti DOCG 2023 (Italy)

Crafted from 94% Sangiovese, 3% Canaiolo, and 3% Colorino, the grapes for this Chianti DOCG are hand-harvested in September from vineyards at 100 meters above sea level. The grapes are de-stemmed, crushed, and fermented in temperature-controlled cement tanks using indigenous yeasts, with spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 50% in concrete tanks and 50% in large, un-toasted 54hl barrels before blending, followed by a few months of bottle refinement.
